As a 35 year industry veteran and current President of Diamond Residential Mortgage Corporation (DRMC), my ultimate goal is building a best-in-class organization focused on “You,” whether “You” are a client, business partner, investor, or team member. I began on the street as a loan officer in the early 80’s and rose to the ranks of executive management with major national mortgage players. Over the years, I have witnessed the real estate and mortgage lending industry change. The mortgage industry has moved away from recognizing the importance of great service and long-term market relationships. Many in the industry seem to forget that when the customer comes first, everything else will fall into place.

Over the past 25 years, I have learned the mortgage industry from the ground up. After beginning my career as an accountant, I joined Paul Diamond in the mortgage industry at Lumbermen’s Investment Corporation in 1986. In 1989, I assisted in the development of Centex Corporation’s “CTX Mortgage Company,” where I served as a Top Loan Officer, Sales Manager and later as Division Vice President.  While serving as Division Vice President of CTX Mortgage Company, I ran the most profitable division in Illinois. In 2004 I became the Regional Vice President of the State of Illinois for the Midwest District for First Magnus Financial Corporation, and in 2007 I joined forces with Flagstar Bank.  I served as the District Manager of the Illinois Group until 2009, and I assisted in the development of Diamond Residential Mortgage Corporation, where I am the currently Chief Financial Officer.  I am a very detailed and accomplished mortgage professional that truly understands all the inter-workings of the mortgage business.

I currently reside in Gurnee, IL with my wife Tracy and our four children.  We all are very active within our community.  I enjoy competing in Triathlons and have participated in the Hawaiian Ironman World Championships six times.

I have over 40 years of experience in the Retail Mortgage Business to include experience in underwriting, capital markets, product development, production management and even personal production. I have owned 2 companies and have run production for 4 others, including CTX Mortgage, GMAC Mortgage, American Home Funding, Shea Financial and BOK Financial.

The defining point in any successful service-based organization is the internal value that is placed on its most important asset- its employees. Creation of a valued financial asset is the work of numerous skills and people within the mortgage process. Sales, Underwriting, IT, Processing, Loan Delivery, Secondary marketing, Finance and accounting, Audit, Quality control and many other disciplines must work in unity to create a sustainable, profitable company. Since completing his bachelor’s degree at Valparaiso University in 2003 and his mortgage education from Xinnix (one of the toughest mortgage training programs in the industry), Ryan has helped thousands of people achieve their goals of homeownership. Ryan has been nationally recognized as one of the top producing loan officers throughout the country year after year. He was ranked as one of the top Rookie Originators in 2004, as reported in Mortgage Originator Magazine (MOM), one of the top FHA/VA Originators in the nation in 2005 by MOM Magazine, and he has averaged $40 million in volume per year during his originating career. Ryan is highly respected by his fellow employees, and he was elected to the DRMC board by his peers. His originator’s perspective has proven to be a valuable asset for the board.

During his tenure at Valparaiso University, Ryan was an outstanding baseball player. Ryan is a highly passionate individual, and he still plays baseball and golf to this very day. Ryan currently makes his home in Northwest Indiana with his wife Magan and their two daughters Maya and Gabriella.

Over the past 20+ years, I have served as a Mortgage Consultant, a Sales Manager, and a Senior Division President. This experience has given me an extensive knowledge of the entire lending process from both a lender’s and administrator’s perspective.  In my current position as a Senior Division President I am back to doing what I love best:  working directly with clients and servicing their lending needs.

As one of the nation’s top FHA and VA Mortgage Originators, I am dedicated to making sure my customers are educated homebuyers. I provide credit and budget counseling and credit repair advice.  I also conduct homebuyer’s seminars throughout the year to make sure the community is informed on the constant changes in the mortgage industry and home buying process.  I am a Mortgage Product Specialist; I will always work to get you the best loan for your situation.  I consider it an honor to work with first time homebuyers, and I am well-versed in the numerous first time homebuyers’ programs.  Our products include Conventional, Jumbo loans, FHA, VA, LIBOR and Treasury ARMs, just to name a few.

Hello! My name is Sandy Nommensen, and I am the Senior Vice President of Corporate Administration for DRMC. After many years of owning and operating a family business while working in the outside business sector with a concentration in payroll and HR, I was given the fantastic opportunity to join the Diamond family to serve in Corporate Administration in 2012, and it’s been a joy to call DRMC home ever since. 

Corporate Administration supports many aspects of corporate, from payroll, HR, and benefits to working closely with our CEO and CFO to ultimately support our employees. 

I am motivated by my faith and by the love of my Diamond family. I am often called one of the mothers of the Company. It is a privilege to serve such wonderful people. I am also very proud to be part of developing and implementing the Diamond Gem program and planning creative and unique Sales and Operations Conferences. 

I began my career as a staff attorney at a nonbank mortgage lender, where I worked my way up to Deputy General Counsel before leaving for a General Counsel position with DRMC.

I have been with Diamond since 2021,  and it’s been impressive to see the commitment to doing things the right way. I find what I do interesting, and I enjoy how the GC role allows me to work in both the legal and business spheres, managing the legal and compliance functions of the company while serving as a strategic advisor to management. I take great pride and satisfaction in enhancing compliance and legal processes at DRMC.

My journey in the mortgage industry began in 1997 when I started as a loan officer with the added responsibility of training new loan officers. Over the years, I've gained extensive experience in various aspects of the mortgage process, including origination, processing, closing, and underwriting, which eventually led me to my current role at DRMC. As SVP of Operations, my key responsibilities revolve around providing strong leadership to our operations team and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence between our operations and sales departments.

What truly motivates me is the opportunity to find solutions that benefit our clients and our organization. The mortgage industry can be challenging, but I find great reward in overcoming obstacles and helping individuals achieve their dreams of homeownership. I strive to embody the company's values with a can-do attitude every day. I firmly believe in leading by example and encouraging others to do the same. 

One of the proudest moments in my career was receiving the Best Mortgage Underwriter award from the IMBA, part of the Best in Biz Awards for 2018. This recognition serves as a testament to the hard work and dedication put forth by our entire team

Hello, I am Diana Whitmire, the Senior Vice President of Compliance and Quality Control at Diamond Residential Mortgage Corporation. I started my career in the mortgage industry in 1986 and have been with DRMC since its inception. Throughout my career, I have experienced all aspects of mortgage operations.  I was in and ran operations for 35 years.  I have had my hand in Compliance by default being in operations. When the position became available in late 2021, it felt like the logical next step to advance my knowledge and experience.  

My key responsibilities are to oversee and manage all aspects of Compliance and Quality Control and to ensure the team members have the knowledge and tools they need to be successful. My role contributes to the overall health and well-being of DRMC in what has become a highly regulated industry.

I try to be a part of the solution versus the problem and to make those around me feel valued and appreciated. 

Hello, I'm Melissa Segura, the Senior Vice President of Mortgage Servicing at Diamond Residential Mortgage Corporation. I started in the mortgage industry in 1998 as a mortgage loan collector. Over the years, I've tackled everything from Compliance, Project Management, and Investor Relationship Management, which eventually led me to create and oversee the Subservicing initiative for Aurora Bank, FSB. In November 2016, I was thrilled to join the DRMC team entrusted with running the Mortgage Servicing division. 

As the SVP of Mortgage Servicing, I take pride in my responsibility for all Interim Servicing activity and the oversight of our Mortgage Subservicer. Ensuring compliance with investor and regulatory guidelines is essential to handling our customers' loans accurately and professionally, embodying the exceptional customer service that DRMC is known for. By preventing errors and inaccuracies, we create a seamless experience for our borrowers, encouraging them to return to DRMC for all their mortgage needs.  It is rewarding to know that my knowledge and experience contribute to an essential part of someone’s homebuying journey.

Since joining DRMC, I was instrumental in obtaining both Ginnie Mae and Freddie Mac Seller/Servicer approval, which added to the already approved Fannie Mae approval. This makes DRMC one of the few companies in the U.S. with all three GSEs' approval to sell and service loans with them.
